A marvellous all-terrain ride past Schloss Rosegg, along the Drava River into the Karawank Mountains with partly flowing paths and steep, rocky ascents and descents, a river crossing through the hilly landscape of the region with beautiful views to past the town of Villach and return to Lake Wörthersee along the foot of the Ossiacher Tauern.

If you don’t feel confident, carry your bike – the section downhill is only very short – and at the end you will have to cross the stream anyway, where you will have to get off your bike and may even come out barefoot or with wet feet.

Check the weather conditions before setting off. If the stream crossing at KM 17 is impassable due to high water levels, you will need to turn back and take an alternative route over Lake Aichwaldsee.
