Wide loop with Lost Places around the Wörthersee-Rosental region
Starting from Lake Wörthersee, this all-terrain gravel tour takes you mainly along the Drava cycle path through the scenic Rosental valley. The fun stops briefly after Hundsdorf. Both the climb over Rabenberg and the air raid bomb from 1944 are serious matters. The next section through the world-famous gunsmith town of Ferlach back to the Drau offers a breather. Past the plague cemetery, the landscape of the Sattnitz conglomerate offers some great photo opportunities. After changing to the north side of the Draufer, we again recommend a larger diameter sprocket. On the ascent over the Radsberg, you cover around 400 meters in altitude before you can glide down into the Klagenfurt basin. Before Ebenthal, you should definitely take a look at the impressive landscape of the Ebenthal waterfall and pay a brief tribute to the only two mulberry trees in Carinthia. Along the Glanfurt, you finally come back to Lake Wörthersee and there are a few lost places to discover here too.
